“ This is an exceptional little Greek restaurant in Houston. Located in Rice Village it serves a modern twist to traditional Greek food. This little jewel made it through the pandemic, which is telling in itself. Their Greek wines are some of the best Ive found in US restaurants. If you are looking for something new to try, Helens Greek Food Wine hits all the marks with top quality offerings, charming wait staff, and intimate atmosphere. ”
“ Visited for my birthday dinner just after the winter storms here in Houston. Limited but fantastic menu, quiet and cozy vibe in the dining room. Our group of 4 easily split 5 plates mains octopus, meatballs, and chicken with room for dessert. Really enjoyed trying the selection of Greek wines as well. Will definitely be returning! ”
“ They did nothing wrong 5 star review but I personally didnt enjoy it. As you can see by the photos I tried everything. I really wanted to like it all but I didnt. Each dish was slightly off. Maybe that was the point and everyone else gets it while my wife and I are missing the punchline. The environment is great... The wait staff were amazing and tentative. The best items on the menu were the dessert items. I think the Greek donuts could be fixed with a small ramekin of honey and maybe if they added mint. We ate everything but did it more because it was beautiful dishes that clearly had love in them very complex but, I wont be returning . ”
“ Love this little, cozy spot! Its perfect for a light, casual lunch, and a lovely ambiance at night for an intimate dinner for two, or a lively yet lowkey spot with friends. Great selection. Their fries were a bit salty for my taste, but their Trio of Dips spicy red pepper, warm chickpea, and refreshing tzatziki is YUM! I can, and have ordered just that. Its delicious and you should try it . Their desserts are also light and not overbearingly sweet. Call ahead for dinner reservations as it fills up quickly. ”
“ My husband and I wanted to find a place just as good as Alexander the Great, and boy, did we find it! The food was absolutely delicious and perfectly made. We had the Chicken Breast and Lamb Chops, and we were greeted with delicious flavors we never had before! The staff was also super friendly and very attentive to us. We will definitely be planning another visit! ”
“ This is definitely a hidden gem in Rice Village. From the moment you walk in until the moment you leave this place has a super chill vibe. The service is just right for this little Greek restaurant. The food is outstanding. I personally had the daily fish selection and it was very good. The fish was very flavorful, fresh, and very well spiced. The consistency of the fish was perfect flaky and fluffy. The housemaid dips are phenomenal. There chickpea dip was very fresh and tasty. Their pita bread seemed to be very warm and tasted like it had just come out of the oven. Their wine selection is not too large but very good. I highly recommend if youre looking for a nice, homemade Greek food, relaxed vibe place. ”
“ This place is to die for. My husband and I were looking for a spot in the area that was unique and boy did we find it. The staff was incredibly welcoming and polite, they made us feel very welcomed the food and drinks were on another level. Huge wine selection and the sangria was delightful. The feta spread and market fish were incredibly thought through dishes and I havent had something so delicious in a very, very long time. If we werent from out of town, we certainly would be here regularly. ”
“ What a charming spot in the Rice Village. I very much enjoyed the lunch menu, had their salad. Im going to return for dinner. Its quaint and petit, and the ambiance makes you feel like you are ensconced in a cozy space. Perfect for dates. They offer lots of options for wines too. ”
